TITP (Technical Intern Training Program) program is run by Japanese government that facilitates international workers to work for up to 5 years in Japan and learn Japanese way of working. Gmshiptech is an approved “sending organization” in India under the TITP program that can hire, train and process visa’s for workers to work in Japan. Candidates have to undergo an Interview selection process with the representatives of Japanese companies for their successful placement in Japan under the TITP program.

Medical Examination

Candidates who passed the interview and are selected shall take the medical examination at the medical institutions recommended by Gmshiptech. The candidate who failed in this final exam shall be replaced with another candidate in consultation with Japanese employer.

VISA Formalities

Gmshiptech applies Japanese VISA of technical intern trainees at Japanese consulate in the India, that is necessary for entering Japan.

Enter Japan

Technical Intern Trainees enter Japan for the internship program.

One Month Japanese Language & Technical Training

After entering Japan, Technical interns shall take 1 or 2 months Japanese language & technical training operated by the supervising organization. The training term depends on each organization.

Technical Intern Training Starts

The technical intern trainees finally start working in Japan. Trainees will be required to take yearly “National Trade Skill Test” in order to determine whether they are capable of continuing the Technical Intern Training Program.

Completion of TITP Term

After the completion of TITP term in Japan, the technical intern trainees will come back to India as highly skilled trained manpower, and start a promising career in their respective industries.

About TITP Program

The Technical Intern Training Program is an on the job training program providing employment opportunities for foreign nationals in Japan. Administered by the Japan International Training Cooperation Organization (JITCO) its stated purpose is to provide training, technical skills and technology experience to workers from developing economies. This government-run internship program was first established in 1993.

In India TITP is an initiative taken by the Indian & Japanese Government to send Indian Trainees to Japan, for technical training. The aim is to provide a platform and to prepare young workers from India by helping them acquire industrial & vocational skills as technical intern trainees in companies in Japan for a period of 3-5 years, so that they can utilize such skills for economic and industrial development after their return to home country.

During the visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Japan in November 2016, India and Japan had concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation on skill development and later bilateral Joint Statement was issued during the visit of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to India in September 2017. Finally, India and Japan concluded the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) on Technical Intern Training Programme (TITP) on 17th October 2017.
